2019 Fall Hockey Practices:

NOTE – all practices take place at Ernie Starr Arena, 4808 – 14 Ave SE.

Wednesdays: October 9, 23, November 6, 20, and December 4 from 5:45 – 6:45.  Please arrive at the arena at 5:15 pm and bring ALL your hockey gear, hockey stick and water bottle! Check back for Outdoor Hockey dates and times at Deer Run Community Arena!    

2019 Summer Schedule

**Marion’s Contact: 403-542-4753; Krista’s Contact: 403-681-0870 We will be traveling to each activity as a group on a school bus.  We have 2 Bus Pick Up Locations:
  1. South East: Deer Park United Church – 77 Deer Point Road SE
  2. North East: Pacific Place Mall (by T & T Market and Canadian Tire) – 999 – 36 Street NE.
**Please advise Marion or Krista as to which Bus Location you will be using. **Please stay with your child until an FHL Supervisor is there.  FOOTBALL- Saturday, July 6 –  with U of C Dinos at McMahon Stadium.
  • Children need to wear comfortable clothing and running shoes.
  • Children need to bring a lunch and a water bottle.
Bus Pick Up Time Deer Park United Church – Please have your child there by 10:15 am Pacific Place Mall – Please have your child there by 11:00 am We will all arrive at McMahon Stadium by 11:45 am Bus Return Time Pacific Place Mall – Please be there to pick up your child by 3:00 pm.   • Children need to bring a snack and water bottle.

  • Fall bi-weekly hockey practices (September to December 5:30 – 7:30 pm)
  • Watching a Dinos and Stampeders Football Game
We will give you the dates ahead of time for these activities.

JULY, 2017 SCHEDULE: Note 1: School bus pick up location is Pacific Place Mall (T & T Market and Canadian Tire in Marlborough).  Parents are welcome to come to any or all training sessions. Note 2: Once you register, you will be given a referral letter so you can get your free hockey equipment that is needed for the hockey sessions.
  1. Football Session:Monday, July 3 – Drop kids off at Pacific Place Mall at 12 Noon  Pick kids up at Pacific Place Mall at 4:30 pm. (Our FHL Team will travel to McMahon Stadium)  
What to bring: Please pack a snack or lunch for your child, a water bottle, and       have them wear comfortable clothing for physical activity.  Footwear should be running shoes (no sandals).
  1. Football Session:Saturday, July 15– Drop kids off at Pacific Place Mall at 12 Noon; Pick kids up at Pacific Place Mall at 4:30 pm. (Our FHL Team will travel to McMahon Stadium)
What to bring: Please pack a snack or lunch for your child, a water bottle, and have them wear comfortable clothing for physical activity.  Footwear should be running shoes (no sandals).
  1. Hockey Training:Monday July 24, Tuesday July 25, Wednesday, July 26, Thursday July 27, Friday July 28– Drop kids off at Pacific Place Mall at 4:30 pm; Pick kids up at Pacific Place Mall at 8 pm. (Our FHL Team will travel to Southland Leisure Centre for each hockey practice.)
**Hockey Equipment must be picked up at Comries Equipment Bank.  You will be provided with a referral form once you register for FHL. What to bring: Please pack a snack or lunch for your child, a water bottle, and have them wear comfortable clothing such as sweats for under their hockey equipment. They must also bring all their hockey equipment including their hockey stick to each hockey day.
  1. Additional Activities: There may be a field trip for all family members to watch a Football Game (either Dinos or Stampeders) at McMahon Stadium sometime over the summer or early September.  There are also additional hockey practices throughout the fall. You will be contacted with more details.
